IntroductionJohn McPhillimy formed Building Diagnostics and Assessment Services in 1997 to create a specialist service for companies involved in maintaining and developing a building's performance. John has been involved in research, applied research and technical consultancy in a number of technical areas for over twenty years - in commercial, academic and industrial environments - since graduating from the University of Strathclyde with a BSc(Hons) in Physics in 1983. He has published widely in a number of technical fields and remains a guest lecturer at Napier University's Dept. of Building Engineering and Advanced Materials Centre. John's company ethos is to provide our clients "with a trust worthy and dependable service on all levels of building performance operations". BDAS also prides itself in providing a consultancy reference point from which our customers can access specialist objective expertise and knowledge to help devise the best possible means of developing building performance progression. Our client-base is predominately composed of large UK/multi-national companies who require a flexible, responsive and confidential service and support.
